Transforming our Business Model to Support the Nation During the Coronavirus Pandemic

The outbreak of COVID-19 has undoubtedly caused a lot of worry, stress and pressure upon businesses and individuals across the nation. In response to this, we wanted to do whatever possible to show our support and help those most in need during such difficult times. With our trustworthy and robust supply chain still intact, it was without question that we took to the decision to transform our business model and help combat the nationwide shortage of PPE.

Our Managing Director, Trent Peek received a call mid-February from a customer who turned to us for help after struggling to source hand sanitiser from their usual supplier. Fortunately, at CCM we have a strong supply chain in Asia and therefore we were able to source the products for our customer and at a better rate than they were previously paying. We then realised that other companies may already be facing huge supply chain issues and potential losses because of the virus. During such a testing, uncertain time we felt it was important to utilise our strengths to help those most in need by offering this equipment to more organisations at a low and fair price. Supporting the safety and wellbeing of our entire nation was at the forefront of our mind

Since this initial call in February, members of our team have been working hard to remodel our focus from supplying print and promotional products to supplying personal protective equipment to support national large-scale organisations during the Coronavirus pandemic. In just a short space of time, we have already sold over a million protective masks and hundreds of thousands of hand sanitising gels to support the most vulnerable and impacted organisations during this pandemic.

Direct feedback from a number of organisations has highlighted that competing suppliers are taking advantage of this situation by charging extremely high prices for PPE. We are proud to be offering our supplies of antibacterial hand gels, surgical masks and aprons at a very low and competitive cost, attempting to price match companies who are struggling to source from their usual supply chain.

Just over four weeks into this remodel and we’ve already received lots of positive feedback from clients who have reached out to us during the pandemic.
